Guidelines & Restrictions
The Missoula Athletic council has been supporting Missoula youth athletics through cash scholarships for such things as equipment and gear, supplies, and travel expenses. Applications for MAV scholarships must meet our criteria* and we strongly encourage recipients to spend monies with local Missoula businesses to help our local, hometown economy.

MAV meetings are held every other Tuesday evening, and applications for scholarships received by the meeting time, will be reviewed and voted on the next meeting. The Applicant(s) may be expected to attend the meeting to meet with Scholarship Committee to present their request in person.

Applicants need to provide a detailed written explanation with the basic contact information and specific budget notes where applicable. Vague or incomplete applications may be returned for further clarification or rejected all together. In addition, the scholarship committee may choose to provide only a portion of a request. There are some things the MAVS will not choose to fund. For profit business or professional athletes are not eligible to apply for a MAV scholarship.
